Why I Go
I’m really not a big fan of business traveling.
Don’t get me wrong, I love working. I just can’t stand the nuisances of traveling. I really don’t like being away from my family. I despise being crammed onto crowded airplanes with people who always seem to find a way to sneeze on me. I miss my daily routine and my morning beetroot shakes. I fret about having to rely on public restrooms. And, I resent not having the time to work out – actually, that part I secretly like.
But, I really do love learning. And, I especially value the knowledge attained only through the experience of traveling. Despite being uneasy about the travel process, I always relish the journey. On every return flight, I find myself thinking about how much I’ve grown – no matter how short the trip.
Each time the wheels touch the ground, I realize I am returning home a little bit wiser.
The fact is, those who stay – remain. Those who go – become.
So I go.
