Time for a Cleanse
Last night I had the strangest dream.
I was at a conference, handing out business cards that contained my old AOL email address. I haven’t used my AOL email account in 20 years – let alone recall the password to access it.
After making sure that no one’s emails would ever be able to reach me, I decided to jump onto a waterslide that very quickly turned into a mudslide.
My brand new outfit was in ruins.
As I first began sliding, I was really upset about muddying my clothes. But as the hill became steeper and as I picked up speed, I found myself having the ride of my life.
Awaiting me at the end of the slide was a toasted scooped out bagel with a smear of cream cheese, topped with sliced tomatoes and honey maple turkey.
I can’t even remember the last time I ate that. But I’m sure it was long before I ever heard the words, “you’ve got mail.”
Just then, a friend that I hadn’t seen in decades handed me a clean Izod shirt to change into. But, I refused to put it on. I didn’t need the 1980s calling me and demanding its shirt back.
With that I was brought into consciousness.
I awoke realizing that it must be time to start my annual spring cleanse.
