There Comes a Time When You Just Stop Giving a Sh*t

Some people dangle financial carrots to get what they want.

Others use threats.

Unfortunately for them, a strategy of preying upon greed or fear is only as effective as an opponent’s greed and fear.

Not everyone is as incentivized by money.

Not everyone is afraid of another’s perceived consequences.

There are plenty of other motivators:

There’s art and poetry.

There’s truth and justice.

There’s self-pride.

And of course, there’s freedom.

Nothing is more liberating than no longer giving a sh&t.

Maybe Phil Collins said it best:

And as for me I can sit here and bide my time

I got nothing to lose if I speak my mind

I don’t care anymore, I don’t care no more

I don’t care what you say

We never played by the same rules anyway
